Using ResQ‑R.

Version 2026-08-01

Safety guidance is general, not a substitute for training

Everything on ResQ‑R is written to be useful in the moment you’re standing in front of a piece of equipment. It is general guidance. It is not professional training, not a substitute for your building’s own procedures, and not advice for a specific emergency.

In an emergency, always call 911.

Accounts

You need to be 13 or older to create an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and give us an email address you can actually receive mail at — expiry reminders go there.

You can delete your account whenever you like. See the privacy policy for what that removes and the one thing it doesn’t.

Badges you create

If you create badges, you’re responsible for the accuracy of what you write on them and for having permission to put a sticker where you put it. Don’t publish anything that would send someone the wrong way in an emergency.

Because badges end up on physical equipment, they stay published if you delete your account, and pass to EdQuest, Incorporated to maintain. That is the deal you accept when you create one. Your name and account are removed from them.

Equipment you register

Details you record about your own equipment are yours. You choose field by field what appears on the public scan page and what stays private. Deleting your account deletes them.

Fair use

Don’t attempt to interfere with the service, scrape it wholesale, or use it to mislead people about safety equipment. We may suspend an account that does.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll ask you to accept the new version next time you sign in. We won’t interrupt you over a typo.
